  1. This has happened to me twice now. I'm not tooling around in afterburner, I'm sticking to the waypoints. ( I do hit jump to next event since nothing seems to happen during the mission). Why doesn't the default load out include enough fuel? Is there a way too see how much fuel is needed in the mission? Thanks.
  2. HF, thanks for that comprehensive response.
  3. Thanks HF. I'm an idiot. I didn't notice that those buttons with the three little dots were clickable. Once I realized that I knew what to do. Now for some reason it's only working when I start EF2000 from the Config menu that pops up when I click config in Reloaded. When I click on the picture of the Eurofighter on the Reloaded Screen it opens DOSBox but crashes and won't start. But I've got it working via the Config screen. Thanks again!
  4. You raise a good point about the obsolescence of a lot of unformation on the internet.......
  5. Forgive my ignorance, but how do I "map" the EF 2000 directory to the Reloaded directory? Is that done from within the Reloaded program? I thought of that and tried to enter the path in the slot next to the radio buttons for the versions, but it didnt do anything. It was all still greyed out. Thanks
  6. Thanks . I was able to find both Falcon 4.0 and Falcon 4.0 AF. Tried both but found that Falcon 4.0 with the BMS runs much better than AF. That surprised me since I'd read that AF was more stable than BMS. I've had no problem with BMS so far (knock on wood).
  7. HF, I think I have a version of EF 2000 extracted to my Win 8 pc, but when I run Reloaded the EF 2000 Options radio buttons are all greyed out. So I can't choose a config
  8. Can anyone provide advice on how to enable joystick, control sound, etc without using EF 2000 reloaded? I believe you have to somehow modify a .cfg file, and I've tried to guess what to do with that but it hasn't worked. Thanks for any help.
  9. I've read the article on the TAW Wiki re installing this on a 64 bit OS. But neither Windows Virtual PC nor Windows XP Mode work with Windows 8. Now I think I've found a way around the Windows XP mode problem. But what about Virtual PC? Would Virtual Box work? I played around with it but couldn't get EF 2000 to install. Any suggestions as to how i might make it work on Windows 8? ThNk you.
  10. Thanks HF. I actually was able to find both Falcon AF and vanilla Falcon 4.0. You're right. Falcon 4.0 with BMS runs much better and looks better than Falcon 4.0 AF. That being said, i tried some of the training missions in BMS and the detail is staggering. The people who created it are insane. ( in a good way!)
  11. Yes, they don't make it easy to figure out which version it is. How can you tell if all you have is the CD or download? I guess the bottom line though is that to play a hardware accelerated graphic version you need EF 2000 V. 2.0. Is tha right? If yes i guess it's back to Ebay!
  12. Actually, i think what i have is Super EF2000. It has the Tactcom. Not sure if that makes a difference
  13. I apologize if these questions seem basic, but I'm not a computer science guy so although I've read the posts in this thread and the TAW Wiki, a lot of it goes over my head. I have a downloaded version of EF 2000 special editon that came with a batch file that automatically starts DOS box and runs the sim. (I also have a version on CD). It launches and plays, but only in software mode. I'm running on an Intel i7, Windows 8.1, Nvidia 970m, 16 gb ram Here are my questions: 1. Is there a way to get this to run through EF Reloaded? 2. Is there a way to get this to use my video card? 3. The version i have that runs through DOS Box doesnt have an options menu. Is there a way to change the settings so that it will recognize my joystick? Thanks very much in advannce for any assistance.
  14. Thanks for the responses. At least I know I'm not missing anything completely obvious .
