Just found out that I can ride in Clark or Brabham's cockpit while thay practice! Boy,what an eye opener! They go into the corners so deep and are so smooth. Great way to learn from the masters. You can even watch the suspension and see when they brake or accelerate. Think I'll spend some time with them and see if it rubs off! Found out I can shave seconds with the Lotus over the Brabham,but it's a bit more squirrely.

But who are we fighting? Al Queda,Islam,the Moslem religion? I can't figure out what we are trying to accomplish. I understand our desire to strike back for 9/11 but how do you chase an enemy who is tacitly supported by their own people who don't like each other if you're not in the family or tribe,and don't even understand the principles of a democracy anyway? And meanwhile our own people struggle to pay health bills,keep their homes in a catastrophic time of losing their jobs,watch oil companies rip us all off,lose their sons and daughters to insurgents following a medieval warlord who wants to take them back to the stone age. I see no focus in this,no rally to the flag, because we don't know who we are supposed to be opposed to as compared to WW2 or Korea. This is my frustration.

Whizzers, usually I agree with you man, but this time I can't. I'd rather have the military chasing Jihadi around the desert in Iraq than having them have to chase them around New Jersey or Michigan. Killing Bin Laden and/or Zarqawi would be great, I'd have a big ol' party and everything, but it won't end the war. The snake analogy doesn't hold with Al Queda, they're more like a hyda. Cut off one head and another head grows up in it's place so you have to completely destroy it. I think it's time to face reality and admit that no matter how great a military nation we may be,that unless we nuke Iraq and wipe the whole damn bunch off the face of the earth and save one American,that trying to fight a guerrilla war that only has ROE for us that we are going to fail. The Romans tried it in Britain and failed,we tried it in Vietnam and failed,the Russians tried it in Afghanistan and failed. I'm going to fight like hell the next time some politician tells me we have to fight on foreign soil to save our country. Lying bastards. No WMD's,no looking for the head of the snake,just chase the tail. If Washington had put the same money and resources into finding Bin Laden and Al Zarqawi this would be over now. Thanks for all your help,guys. It seems that I've blocked it right now,but it may return,we'll see. I couldn't get into CWShredder (which I had but lost) as the site won't come up,but maybe they're down for now,or something. I forgot to mention that I run AVG a lot,which is a great anti-virus,and de-frag every week or more. I've been into some naughty sites recently (just checking!) which was stupid in retrospect,so I probably picked it up there. That'll teach me,right? I'll update as necessary.Thanks again.

Over the last three days my PC has picked up a virus or pop-up called PSGuard,which insists that I have infected files etc. And it will show me what these are but to cure them I have to send them.............you've heard the story. Well,I have Ad-aware,Spy-bot,Spyware Blaster,Pop-up Stopper,Reg Clean,and The kitchen sink,but this damn thing keeps re-appearing. They have a contact web-site and I wrote them a short e-mail and told them they were a pain in the ass and to quit. Here's their reply,and if I go to the two sites quoted it immediately puts the PSGuard back on the Desktop. Hello. The thing is that we don't sell the software ourselves - we have an affiliate program that anyone can join. There might be one bad affiliate who can advertise us in some dishonest way. Take a look if there's anything connected with search (like Search Assistant) or Internet Explorer Update (this one if for SmitFraud virus). Also delete Virual Maid if you have it there. Guess we should stay on this site for GPL,huh? All is well,Neddie,the setups all showed up on the Car Setups screen,but ONLY when you go to race mode,not for training. That's a pity,as it would be nice to have it when you're just tooling around.Great selection of setups,Neddie. Thanks.

Sorry,Joker,I lied. The GPL Scheme is in the Microsoft Hardware folder in Program Files. I'm only assuming there's one for a non-F/F Wheel,though. Neddie,I'm still struggling to get the Setups to do their thing. When I add my name as a new driver,then hit the green button to progress,a small screen comes up and says it's unable to save driver information. Then I can only delete the new driver to progress or go back. What's going on?

Hi,Joker. I have a Sidewinder F/F Wheel,with a separate floor-mounted brake and throttle pad which works really well. Have you gone to the Sidewinder web-site and d/l'd the GPL Profile for the wheel and pedals? It's at www.microsoft.com/sidewinder and has quite a few profiles for various games. This way you can tell it to make the pedals separate for brake and throttle. Actually my wheel is only supposed to work on Win 2000 and older,so I go to Windows Compatibility site in Accessories and tell it to work on Win2000 instead of XP,and its quite happy. Tough on the arms if I hit the curb too often,though!

Excellent,Neddie. I put the RPY in the right folder,and watched Joker at Monza looking pretty good. Don't know how he can drive without a pedal setup,though. I did as you said to install the Setup for (in this case Mosport),but when I arrived in the Setups screen it still won't show me as driver,just Race -Default and Current-Default. It gives a list of all the other tracks for setups but shows Default in all of them. I'm running GPL Demo 2004,btw. Could this be the problem?

Hi,Joker,how are you? I see it's an RPY file which Win Media can't open,it says. Do I unzip it to Desktop or where? I'd love to see your laps. I'm trying to install Setups from Neddies recommended site but I can't seen to get me as the driver to show up in the Setups page in the game.All it shows is Demo Driver with default. Any ideas?
