Except for Robert Service and Jack London, I'm not much on poetry, but that free-form in your post,OG,was really powerful. So much said with so few words.

Whoa, you should see his extendable third arm!

Captain to co-pilot "Whaddya mean, the Company's not going to like our new delivery system? Beats DHL doesn't it?"

An idea whose time has come,I would think. Ferro cement sailboats have been popular for years, although they have an electrolysis problem, but with Kevlar instead of re-bar I think a sub would be great. Stealthy as hell, too.

Hysterical! My wife wondered why I was wiping tears from my eyes after reading it. I pity the poor sod who had to clean up the interior!

I'm up,Shep. He's about the only guy I really have any respect for in Foggy Bottom. I'd vote him for President in a minute. A true American hero.

(Sigh!) Well,I thought it was a great idea! But then I thought buying a re-co nditioned Saracen AFV for use in the commute was a great idea, too! Ah,well. (Bloody funny piece,OG!)

I really think it's time you types Down-Under let us Upper World people know what you're talking about! "Larakin?" What the hell is that? How about a short synopsis of Oz-type words of confusion for the rest of us? With,of course, the explanation.

Ok,let's get serious here. If we have 50 CSim members, and we all commit to $1000 each,we'd have $50,000.Right? Say we win the bidding and get the DC-3 we could lease it back to a Skydiving Club or several clubs, and recoup our investment with a profit after the payoff, then fly around the country going to airshows, and still have it used by the Clubs in between. I'm no investment whiz, but it seems to me a Corp could be set up to work this thing with CSim members being the Bd of Directors, and Govt.assistance to keep a fine old bird like this flying. Come on,somebody eith expertise in this field, and tell me I'm wrong!

Now that's REALLY funny! .............DH take careful note!

Would that be like "Debbie does Dallas?"

Donnie, have you no shame? Saddam is one thing, but DV is really too much!

Just for that,CFran,I may have to tell you of my Cavalry exploits during the Battle of Marengo! I'm sure you've heard of it,haven't you,but if not,I'll be happy to fill you in,so to speak.Well now,we were billeted in this old barn, and the rain was............................................... .............( Wanders off, mumbling to himself and swinging an imaginary sabre )

Welcome aboard, young man. I'm probably the oldest old fart on this Board, except for Old Guy who may be senile,so pay no attention to my ramblings, but if you want the real, honest answers, then us oldsters are the fountainhead of wisdom! Believe me! Or not, whatever!

I've been playing Americas Army for several weeks now. The action is pretty good, and you have quite a few locations to play in,but the max. amount of time is only 10 mins.per game, which doesn't allow for much tactical planning. I like the Urban Assault and Woodland Scenarios the best, but it pretty much appeals to the younger shoot 'em up crowd,I think. Good tool for the Enlistment Office, though!

Oops! http://www.fullspectrumwarrior.com/index.php
-
Just to add to my previous post, take a look at this web-site,and compare to the "First to Fight" sim.
-
Interesting Sim., but I have "Full Spectrum Warrior" which looks almost identical, but nobody seems to give it much coverage. The graphics and story line are outstanding, and the squad-support idea seems the same. Anybody played it?

Hate to tell you guys but Donnie has been in hiding thinking up more jokes (?) for Dark Helmet. Now,how do we keep him there is the question!
-
Hey,Donnie, here's a virtual bottle of Jack Daniels for you to enjoy on your Birthday! Hope that's what you like,or I can change it for your preference if you want! Have a great day,my friend.

Life around the house been a little slow lately,Donnie?
