  1. See, if you studied grammar and spelling at school, instead of being Mr Partydude you wouldn't have to rely on Spelcheck, or whatever! Remember Mother telling you that? Yeah, thought you wouldn't!
  2. "Perusing?" Did you perhaps mean "Pursuing?" No, please don't thank me. It's all in a days work, LOL! (Have to keep after these college grads spelling all the time, damn it!)
  3. Yes, and funded by your Federal Government! This video will make your day! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KV-RqPtT2PU?version=3&feature=player_embedded
  4. Welcome aboard, Ken. Glad to see an ex-Brit here from the RAF. Me too, 1956 to '63. Send me a PM if you like with your service details, etc.
  5. Welcome aboard, Ken. are you an ex-Brit?

  6. Many, many years ago Rockwell International decided to get into the heavy duty automatic transmission business. They were getting ready to tape their first introductory video. As a warm up, the stage crew began what has become a legend within the training industry. This man should have won an academy award for his stellar performance. Now keep in mind, this is strictly off the cuff; nothing is written down. Nothing he says is true. He had NO script! This was a rehearsal for camera, lighting and stage crew. It's all totally meaningless drivel made up as he goes along.

And aren't you glad you did! But there goes another unhappy client with a botched filling!
  10. Good analysis, Archie. Like you, we went from Episcopal in our case, to non-denominational just so we could hear the Word unadorned, just the plain truth as the Bible teaches. I'm personally not backing down these days from any discussions about my faith just to appease someone who either doesn't like it or is of another faith or denomination. I think that this is the start of what the Bible says will happen in the end days before He comes again. Conversely, I don't push my beliefs in anybodys face. That is the problem with many of the Evangelistic types. Can't stand 'em!
  11. Showers followed by sunshine later. About right for here, so no worries. Carry on.
  12. Why are the atheists so determined to bring Christianity to its knees? Do you guys who are Christian really care? Are we so weak in our belief? Maybe so. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/12/14/texas-town-braces-for-battle-with-atheists-over-nativity-scene/?test=latestnews
  13. I think they're quite reliable, Archie. They mainly use other sources to base their comments on. For example.....! http://www.hudson-ny.org/2657/muslims-intimidate-europe I really think that this country, and maybe Canada too, are burrowing their heads in the sand about the danger of Islam. These people are fanatics, and will stop at nothing to bring Sharia about. Our problem lies in the Liberal media who try to hide the truth about Islam, and sugar-coat everything. The Moslem religion is serious about subjugating the infidels, but we're too fat and happy to recognize it!

  15. Anybody got a fresh pigskin that we can sew Achmed up in and throw him in the ocean? I'll volunteer to do the throwing.
  16. Whatever country you're applying to for citizenship, then THAT COUNTRIES LAWS APPLY! All this BS that the Muslims are pushing is driving me nuts! You want to be a "Whatever" then follow its customs and laws. Don't like it, then get lost!

  20. A Soldiers Christmas Twas the night before Christmas. He lived all alone, In a one bedroom house made of Plaster and Stone. I had come down the Chimney, With presents to give. And to see just who in this home did live. I looked all about A strange sight I did see. No tinsel, No presents, Not even a tree. No stocking by the mantle, Just boots filled with sand. On the wall hung many pictures of far distant lands. With medals and badges, and awards of all kinds. A sobering thought then came through my mind. For this house was quite different, It was quite dark and dreary, I'd found the home of a soldier, One I could see clearly. The soldier lay sleeping, Silent, alone, Curled up on the floor In this one bedroom home, The face was so gentle, The room in disorder, Not quite how I'd pictured this soldier, This boarder. Was this the hero Of whom I'd just read? Curled up on a Poncho, The floor for a bed? I realized the families That I saw this night, Owed their lives to these soldiers Who were willing to fight. Soon round the world, The children would play, And grownup's would celebrate A bright Christmas Day. They all enjoyed freedom each month of the year, Because of the soldiers, Like the one lying here. I couldn't help wonder How many lay alone, On a cold Christmas Eve In a land far from home. The very thought Brought a tear to my eye, I dropped to my knees And started to cry. The soldier awakened And I heard a rough voice, "Santa don't cry, This life is my choice." The soldier rolled over And drifted to sleep, I couldn't control it, I continued to weep. I kept watch for hours, So silent and still And we both shivered From the cold nights chill. I didn't want to leave On that cold, dark, night, This guardian of Honor So willing to fight. The soldier rolled over, With a voice soft and pure, Whispered, "Carry on Santa, It's Christmas Day, all is secure." One look at my watch, And I knew he was right. "Merry Christmas my friend, and to all a good night." This poem was written by a Marine stationed in Okinawa, Japan.
