Well, I reinstalled and followed the advice I found in an old thread, namely cycling the TrackIR radio button before saving the exe. D'oh! It worked, and I can now use any exe. I even bumped the resolution to 1280x800, but got low frames though. I found that by disabling "LFB access" I can get smooth frames but then I've got no HUD! Also, I don't know if I missed this somewhere, but how do you configure the buttons on your joystick?

I inserted the office cd and it installed what it looked for. However, I still get horrible graphics - I've tried all the settings (exe's?) in the graphics settings but no matter what, I get a resolution ingame of 640x480 or thereabout. I've tried the glide wrapper (?) thing and set my resolution to 1280x800 but it doesn't change ingame, for some reason I think the changes I make don't even have an effect. For example setting to D3D 1024x768 still gives 640x480 ingame.
It's probably my graphics card, as I have a hunch it doesn't get along with old games. I've tried Janes F/A-18 but had problems there aswell.

Hey guys, don't know if this is the right place to post but when installing TAW 2.0 it installs just fine, but after opening the executable and being prompted with the window you get when first running the application, for some reason Windows wants me to insert my Office 2003 CD and install something from it ?! If I cancel this process I can't get to the menu with all the different options (graphics, reference material etc).
If I open the executable for a second time it seemingly works just fine, but I'm getting weird-looking graphics and exit to desktop crashes, I wondered if maybe this had something to do with it? I'm using XP SP3, Geforce 8400M GS (laptop card), Driver version 186.81
I've browsed through the troubleshooting and known bugs thread but can't find my problem there (although I didn't read all the pages). Forgive my ignorance guys, I've never played this game - as someone that plays F4 AF this looked like an interesting break from the Vipers.

I've got a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and use pedals from my old sidewinder racing wheel for the rudder in other sims. I don't use the manufacturers software as I find it unneccesary, usually I just program the butttons ingame.
Also, with so many manuals coming with the game, which one would be recommended to be read first?
