  1. Yes its lovely to re-live the memories. Try the old music soundtracks through the GME MODS. It puts a lump in the throat. Hope the Multiplay works out for you. Plug in keyboard are very cheap here (Oz) and secondhand are give-aways. You need those MFD views and associated buttons.

They play Multiplay here (see thread). Its a small (would like to be bigger) but dedicated group and the gain in knowledge you get is huge, particular as Home Fries (the real architect for TAW2.0) flies as well. Local time might make it hard for you but its worth a look. You seem to have the love for TAW as we all do here.

GME MODS? I haven't seen that yet ! Thanks for the recomendation I'll try it later, altough I liked the "tracklist" option its very nice to add the music you want, sometimes it makes the combats even more intense !

I'll end up buying an external keyboard, by the time I can play with the "FN+NumLK" to activate/desactivate the extended keyboard numbers in the middle of the letters, its hard doing all that when you have the MIGs upon you, sometimes I have to pause the game (I hate that!<_<) but at least I can play at 100% !

And yep I've read that thread, I'll be nice to fly with you guys I'll try if Im awake hahahaha but it looks Im still having some trouble with the multiplayer, I have no idea what could it be, I have to try with Hamachi (as I read in Home Frie's manual) but I couldn't yet.

Yeah I love TAW, I started loving fighters and avionics because of this simulator, and I still find it amazing !

  2. I recorded it during the training mission "altitude monkey", (a cannon fight againts 4 MIG29M) Im making those missions to remember things, it takes some practice to play this game again.

I really would like to give THANKS again to all the people who worked on this, the conversion is perfect and the upgrades awesome !!

Its not just the pleasure of playing this game again, its also the pleasure of enjoying its new features.

(I've just tried the "UFO invasion" campaign and its awesome! I really enjoyed that, I know its kinda "fantasy scenario" but the point of fighting against "super advanced extraterrestrial flying objects" makes it very exciting !)

  3. Hi Home Fries and Wombat, thanks for the help and the welcome !

I didn't know about that "function key" thing, Im gonna try it, if I cant do anything I guess I'll end up buying a USB keyboard, the game deserves it :D

For the LAN game I'll try everything I can and then report you guys if I success, sometimes the problem is the most unnoticed little thing, I'll find out. (crossing fingers) When my brother leave me, I'll try as well with the "old" one and see what happends.

    Thank you once again !

  4. Thanks Nephilim

Yes we can share files and are under same workgroup and everything, we can play many other LAN games perfectly.

We are both interconnected via wifi trough a wifi-router. (i hope im expresing myself well) We've tried with our LAN ips 192.168.1.11 and 192.168.1.13 respectively, but we allways get the same message, no games appear. We are both running it under Vista...

firewall is desactivated for the case but nothing

maybe we should run the game with administrator privileges or something ?

  5. Hi from Spain everyone !

Great forum people, ok first I would like to thank everyone who worked on the TAW mods and series, I've just tried the TAW 2.0, excellent work!!

I have the classic DID's version, I used to play it a lot in my old WIN95 pc, but I've recently heard of this TAW and I couldn't resist donwloading it to remember the old days.

My problem is..., I just tried to play a LAN game with my brother but it looks we cant. I've followed the steps of your "how to host a game" post, but no success. In both computers (a win vista laptop and a win vista pc) we can "create a game", but then the other player cant join it, we are trying the "tcp/ip conection"... we've tried with LAN IP, internet IP... but the game just doesn't appear.

Do we need to configure something we've ignored ?

Is it neccesary to open a router port maybe ?

I hope you can help us please !

By the way one more question... my laptop has no extended keyboard (the right set of numbers)... and I find it impossible to gain access to the MFDs.

Is there anything I can do? is it possible to redefine keys and put the MFDs somewhere else ?

    thank you!

(I dont know if I maybe havent introduce miself properly or if I need to in other post, excuse me in that case)

PD: just as a little off-topic, I leave you here a flight animation I did recently, hope you like it!
