rather than try to post a bunch of pics ...here is a link to a flikr photo site where I have uploaded a bunch of pics. The ones from Hendon are not very good . The hangers are huge and not well lit and my camera flsh often could not cope. A couple of the really dark ones are of the famous Lancaster 'S' for Sugar. She's painted in RAF night bomber black and "sucks up" the light. Beautiful aircraft with a very ironic expression from H. Goering inscribed on her side. http://www.flickr.com/photos/barry_michelle/?savedsettings=2004659071#photo2004659071

Hurricane Leslie blew through here today. A bit breezy with sustained 120kph winds and gusts to much higher. The poor old trees are still in full leaf so they took some damage and there was a bit of localized flooding but nothing near the apocalypse that the idiots in the media made it out to be.

Canada to resurrect a 53 year old aircraft design?
No105_Archie replied to Stans's topic in Ready Room
Don't get me started on the Avro Arrow. The single greatest F#&K up by a Canadian gov't in lving memory. I can never forgive Deifenbaker for that. But to bring it back now is a crazy idea. It's a 1950's design -
amen

You forgot about the war of 1812-14 when we came down there and burnt the whitehouse.......for a small fee we can do it again -
I think Bell still uses that water buffalo for service up here

I love my IGoogle home page...nice and simple with no clutter ...and only stuff that I put there....but of course IGoogle will cease to exist as on Nov.1 Anybody know of anything similar out there. I have no intention of using Google Chrome or any other browser.. I just want a nice clean simple home page I looked at YAHOO and it;s full of stuff I don't need or want. Any suggestions ?
