  1. rather than try to post a bunch of pics ...here is a link to a flikr photo site where I have uploaded a bunch of pics. The ones from Hendon are not very good . The hangers are huge and not well lit and my camera flsh often could not cope.

A couple of the really dark ones are of the famous Lancaster 'S' for Sugar. She's painted in RAF night bomber black and "sucks up" the light. Beautiful aircraft with a very ironic expression from H. Goering inscribed on her side.

Been to Hendon and have pics ...went to another spot called the Shuttleworth Collection at a little village called Old Warden........just FANF&£kINGTASTIC........many very old WW1 planes plus a bunch of WW2 and all are in flying condition.......you can tell this because they all have bicuit tin lins under them to catch the oil drips. :) I have pics from there as well.

Stag: Went to Duxford 2 years back......saw a Spitfire take off , beat up teh filed and land again :D Tried Old Peculiar and was not to my taste.

Had a great time and saoory to go back to ''real'' life.

  4. Beeee youtiful fall day.......off the the airport and vacation right after supper. You lot will have to do with out my vast knowledge and incredible insight for a few weeks ;)

I will raise a pint or a single malt ( or several ) to all of you :icon_rock:

  5. Hurricane Leslie blew through here today. A bit breezy with sustained 120kph winds and gusts to much higher. The poor old trees are still in full leaf so they took some damage and there was a bit of localized flooding but nothing near the apocalypse that the idiots in the media made it out to be.

  6. I love my IGoogle home page...nice and simple with no clutter ...and only stuff that I put there....but of course IGoogle will cease to exist as on Nov.1

Anybody know of anything similar out there. I have no intention of using Google Chrome or any other browser.. I just want a nice clean simple home page I looked at YAHOO and it;s full of stuff I don't need or want.

    Any suggestions ?
