    Has it come to anybody's attention that I have now passed 500 posts ? Not sure how many I had at the old combatsim.......a nice photo of a local girl like Shannon Tweed or Natasha Henstridge would be "uplifting" ;)

    The Mossie was the primary reason 105 was formed back in EAW days. We got pretty good with it. I'm hoping the FB version will fly as nice as the model looks.

    It can carry more ordinance than an IL-2 and is faster than a lot of fighters. Plus if you do get shot down you have got materials to make a campfire with :)

    I work for a housing agency............this is a "non issue" for most governments and most people. Yes we need new planes & submarines, yes we need to help disaster victims in SE Asia...but TONIGHT within driving distance of where you are RIGHT NOW.....a homeless person in your country ( US, UK or Canada ) will freeze to death in the midst of plenty.

    Sorry to be cynical but I have been seeing this for years........able bodied "parasites" living in social housing because thay are too lazy to work, but know how to "work the system" and other poor souls literally dying because we don't have enough money to help them.

    I have to stop now or this will turn into a political rant :(

    Your Avatar of flying through the hanger is GREAT :D I don't think I could do that "right side up" in a Storch let alone a Corsair !!

    Your comments on Oleg's BoB make sense as well. The closed code of IL-2 is both the best and worst feature of it..... best because there are none of the online compatibility problems that plagued us in EAW and nobody is flying around in a fighter armed with 10 x 30mm guns doing 700mph like in CFS...... and worst because its so hard to get new planes & maps.

    If BoB is just a "start" and there are new planes & maps on a regular basis it will be great ...heck I wouldn't even mind paying for new planes & maps if they are of top quality. There is no reason why after BoB there can't be the Med, Italy, Burma, China, The Solomons etc. I think that maps could be left open to user development and planes kept under the control of Oleg.

    Right oh ...on the Mossie. It would be a shame if it doesn't make it. As to the Pacific....I tend to agree with Ogs......I played with the carrier landing stuff for a while but gradually ended up back on the tiny ETO map, Dessert map and even assorted Russian maps flying ETO planes and "pretending" it was ETO.

    This is a great sim but I really only enjoy flying it online...offline it just has no "soul" (whatever that is )

    BoB could be great as long as it's quite quickly expanded to the rest of WW II in the west.......shooting down Heinkells while vastly outnumbered will get old pretty quick, as will doing endless bomber escorts for the Jerries
