Well i use a handy little program called JoyToKey, you can map any keyboard command to your joystick, dead easy to use!....look for version 3.7.4 because that version is free!, and only download from a trusted site!, good luck!

Well i haven't been able to fly TAW the way i would like in MP because of Hardware restrictions, but once this new rig arrives ( and BT fix my internet connection and local exchange) I'll be a regular in the EU Fly-ins so hope to see (hear?) you there sometime lipy.

, questions to be answered!.....well i must say after installing the 2.21 patch TAW seems to be running a lot smoother on my old laptop, i know about the draw distance been changed back to 1998 default but i think its more than that!, whatever 'has' changed, its running a hell of a lot smoother on my old laptop. -
Lightweight!?......the Flight Model in TAW is outstanding, and I'd like to see you hack it with the veterans in MP Head to Head!
........well since my internet connection is knacked again thought I'd read the original Falcon 4.0 manual tonight, some really good stuff in there!

BMS has a newer Direct X engine that is much more optimized than the ancient versions of Falcon 4. I don't recall whether AF was an improvement in performance speed over Superpak series, but iirc it took more hardware, or as much. So...RF, you lose nothing by installing BMS and testing the difference in performance between the old Superpak and it. I think you might be surprised, or at least I hope so. In any case, it won't cost you anything but a few minutes to find out.
I've tried that on this rig, i could install ok, but soon as i run game, the menu pops up for like 0.23 seconds then big crash, this rig just can't handle the power of BMS, even BMS 2.0!!....there comes a point when upgrading is the only option unfortunately, just wish they'd settle with a screen rez and stick with it!, monitor's these days come in so many different resolutions it drives you nuts!,..... this resolution thing, they just keep going higher and higher and to be honest i don't really think its necessary....1024x768 looks excellent to me on this laptop, i don't need higher!, but you have to upgrade because the game has!!
EDIT: Game play is the most important above all things, thats why TAW and EF2000 live on!!, if a game has 44099899x35373838 or something resolution and its good to look at but crap, thats not for me.

Well my local exchange is having more work done to it this week, download speed has dropped dramatically.

....HF,the Wife would have a cardiac arrest if she came back form work and saw that in living room. 
...mind you if i win the lottery I'll build an enormous extension on the house just for TAW and BMS!....Yeah wrap around screens wall to wall, ah but alas its just a dream i have Yeah ....... I'd like to have mine wall mounted. Apart from clearing up the desk, I could get its height ergonomically right, but it wouldn't won't to be too far away. I'd like it lower to. Interesting point that. We tend to let the hardware and peripherals (eg. desk) dictate our viewing position. And what about a good ergonomic seat ......
Wombat I'm going to mount it (oo er) so it sits almost level with the top of my desk, my desk is only 19 inches from back to front which means I'll only be sitting about 26 inches from mounted wall screen (1920x1200
) so not too far away from it. 
Just waiting for rig to be built now!

Yeah Monitor arrived, done a quick test with it, picture looks fantastic.
........I'm going to wall mount it!, oo er, leaves the desk totally free for keyboard, mouse, Hotass X, wine, roasted peanuts, 40 benson and hedges, . -

Some people are saying that the better the video card the better the resolution looks on a monitor, and that a good video card can make the monitor resolution look better than it normally is???....not sure about that?

....padlocking static targets is not as easy as it sounds, very strange things seem to happen if not understood correctly, this had to be addressed for 2.21. -
Oh crap still more questions.......1920x1200 stretched to fit a 24" screen, will that make it look blocky?, I've searched Internet forums and most seem to think it does not with a 1920x1200 for games.

@Red,You can install it over 2.20a. If it ever requires a fresh install, I will make note of it in the first post.

Well I've lived in England all my life and most people can't understand me!.
....plus my Teamspeak keeps breaking up! , but think I've fixed it now thanks to Eagle,..the best way to learn is to join a Fly-in, and maybe pick up some English too ....or stick a translator on Teamspeak while you fly MP! ....where there's a will there's a way!...feel free to join anytime! -

.....I'm also not that concerned about 3D, its never really impressed me, so thats not an issue, I'll go have a look at it and see if its ok, been looking at reviews and stuff and its got very good reviews only one small problem, some people say it darkens when you look at it for the left side or right, but so does the one I'm looking at now!, if i look straight at it its perfect so not really concerned about that. SO...think I'll have this:

Looks like the pitch ladder has been done with a red felt-tip pen!, and the road has strange things on it?....same as Wombat!,.....Whats happened?
, in d3d its fine, using dgvoodoo 1920x1200 D9 render.
