  1. Hey Red that system looks fine but as HF's Stated if possible go for the Full Tower or ask to see the mid case and see if it has room for a future upgrade of SLI..take measurements the 570 is a pretty big vcard and long as well. mid and smaller cases sacrafice Card space for HDD space sometimes and getting a 2nd card into a Smaller case can be a hassle sometimes depending on how they laid it out..I am a stickler for FULL Towers anymore mid towers can be good too just depends on what you wanna shuv in there..Yes Picking it up yourself will help with Shipping costs, Damage.. I have the same Mobo and if you need to OC it is basically easy as pie..I can show you with Pics as there would be a few things to change..Plus the BIOS Interface uses the mouse so it makes it a lil easier to navigate in the BIOS..a 570 is it a GTX?? is a really GOOD card fares a bit better then a 480 and has more Cores to work with for Processing those Graphics .. ;)I would also look into what size and how many RAM sticks you are getting. I would request 2 - 4 gb sticks.. Future upgrade of the same will be a better plan and no need to waste the other 4 gb..as for the monitor seems OK Contrast ratio is a bit lower then I would want but like HF's said you would need to get to look at it and decide for yourself cause that is always and end user acceptance.. What I say may be good you will think sucks.. so if possible go and see it in action..

Thanks Neph...if i do Overclock in the future I'd be glad for the help, the Mid-Tower will be ok for me for now, space is a problem!, my probable course of action will be to maintain the spec's as they are, as long as i can run EF2000, TAW 2.0, and BMS 4.32 smoothly then I'm happy. ;) .....the 8 GB memory should last me a longtime, but yes i see your point about the slots and 2 sticks of 4 GB though,... now this monitor thing........i don't want TAW or EF2000 to be stretched and odd looking but finding a 1920x1200 with a good contrast ratio and a below 5ms response rate for a reasonable price is difficult!....i can get an excellent 1920x1080 for a good price!, but thats not good for EF2000 and TAW......also is LED better than LCD?

  2. You can Manually Slew the Cursor in F4 any flaver as well. The Problem with Locking the Target in SP4.2 is Cursor Jump..

Yeah sometimes it keeps locking wrong building up, on ACE level the MFD modes are hard enough to learn, i spend alot of time flying in a straight line in Autopilot fiddling with the MFD's.

  3. Thanks HF, and now for the monitor:

  4. Well i don't want the case to be huge, but if i upgrade later i could always change case then i guess, also I'm sure the GTX 570 has a fan of its own too?......also i won't be running this PC 24/7, so it will have time off. ;) ....BMS 4.32!!, that the GOAL for me!!, i can't see me wanting anything better than BMS 4.32 Maxed out ;), thanks for the input.

  6. Select a custom combat mission, then select a Mobile Ground Target such as a Challenger Tank as the enemy, select custom weapons for your F22 and equip with GBU's and then begin mission.

    1. Lock ground target with your cannon.

    2. Change Attack MFD to LANTERN mode, ground target should be locked to lantern.

    3. Select LANTERN TRACK.

    4. Change LANTERN from SLAVED to FREE.

    5. Select LGB's (ground target should now still be tracked by LANTERN as you select LGB's)

    6. Zoom in by selecting TOGGLE ZOOM.

Mobile target is now Locked to GBU's, select F1 to return to Virtual Cockpit, the Mobile Ground Target should now have a triangle with a circle around it indicating Mobile Ground Target is locked to weapon (GBU's), once you get the 'SHOOT' cue release weapon, you may need to do small corrections to the cross hair to make sure cross hair is fully over Mobile Ground Target.........'BOOM' Target is destroyed.

    Thanks to Eagle Flight.

  7. 80 k's and hour limit on an open beautifully winding road is a joke for a bike. Even 100kph is something most bikies don't follow. Its more like 110 ....120. But you need to do it in the right places. Away from prying eyes. For advisory sign on corners its always 20kmh over. So its 60 with 40 ..... 100 with 80. Its not the straight line speed for me, its gunning it out of corners. I get goosebumps just thinking about it now. Particularly as I just heard an extended interview with Mick Doohan.

Wombat its hard to believe your age, i hope I'm like you at your age, your an icon to live up too!!

  8. mikew, I am glad to hear you are still interested in the emulation software for EF2000. This is good New Year's news. Any updates on that front, from the guys who were working on dosbox modding?

Yeah its got a bit quite but I'm sure Mike is working one it, you have to remember he doesn't have much time to work on it but I'm sure he's doing his best, well done so far Mike.

  9. In Falcon 4 Superpak 4.2 you lock target using radar, then select TGP for the view, zoom in, correct if necessary, then do final lock, but once final lock is done thats it!....when you release you won't miss, but in TAW you need to constantly manually correct cross hair.

  10. Oh that Laptop looks real good, just what i wanted, portable and powerful, tempted, tempted, tempted........

Features of Product The world of portable gaming has a new reigning king. The G74SX is a performance notebook that imposes its will with the combined power of a second generation Intel® Core™ i7 CPU and NVIDIA® GTX 560M GPU with 3GB of GDDR5 VRAM. A score of P2008 in 3DMark11 and P9180 in 3DMark Vantage takes over the reins as the fastest notebook in the land. Support for DirectX®11 ensures that you’ll not only have the fastest rig in town, but also the ability to play games as they were meant to be seen for a long time. Like its predecessor, the G74SX design was inspired by sharp polygonal shapes, but this time inspiration came from the US Navy’s Sea Shadow stealth ship and modern day aircraft carriers. Like the stealth ship, opponents will never know what hit ‘em, and like an aircraft carrier, the G74 has the firepower to shock and awe the competition. The G74SX is great for gaming, but its hardware is serious business. It offers the best 3D ecosystem for PCs, offering 3D content creation and editing. It’s powered with NVIDIA® 3D Vision™, so games, photos and movies are all able to be enjoyed like never before. There’s also the ability to output the G74SX to a 3D TV, so you can enjoy 3D entertainment from the living room. Pair that up with THX + EAX 5.0 3D gaming audio technology, and together they make the G74 not only a great gaming notebook, but also a hub for multimedia entertainment. Gaming is something to be enjoyed, so why not be more comfortable for extended gaming sessions? Fatigue will be a thing of the past, thanks to the G74’s 5° incline keyboard designed to provide a better ergonomic angle, as well as super comfortable rubber-like palm rests that’s easy on the palm and wrist. There’s also more space between the keyboard and number pad, so it more resembles a desktop keyboard

  12. Yes you can. Just make sure you release your weapons far enough apart so the weapon has time to change course and doesn't need to make as radical a change. This works for free-lasing maverick as well.

Sounds like a good days practice right there!......Oh damn i better remember to buy more coffee ;)

  13. Thought that's what I had said. Remember there are no correct targets in this training mission. They are just targets.Personally I'm not keen on regenerating new shootlists. I'd rather adjust mine on the fly.

Sorry i'm not talking about the training mission, i mean for simpicity during a real mission where you don't pause......if you just want to find the one with the 'T' on it pretty quick.

  14. A word of advice for those LGBs, you might want to readjust the sight after the bomb has been dropped to target the ground in the middle of the building (The middle of the ground that the building is standing on) since the GBU might sometimes cause an overshoot as the lasing point may be off.If you readjust, just like the Mav's the GBU will adjust its guidance to comply with your new target, I used this trick a lot in the campaign the times when I needed some heavy pounders for "Dispersal Points" in Airfield denial missions.

Sweeper i haven't tried this yet but can you release one then the other a few seconds later and then quickly switch to next building with LANTERN after first building destroyed so second GBU hits second building a few seconds later?

  15. For simplicity you could just select static targets with 'F11', then during fly-past use 'Z' to cycle to correct target then 'S' to lock it up......then turn around, wait for 'SHOOT' cue then fire!...when target is destroyed clear with 'U'.....repeat for next target!......just a simple way of doing it?, if you cycle past target just keep pressing 'Z' then 'S' till you come back to it. :popcornsmilie:
