Donald Rumsfeld has been the recipient of a lot of crap, but I think the man was a visionary. The war he wanted to prepare the military for in the mid-1970's is the war we are fighting in the 21st century. I agree, Jimmy Carter was not all bad. He was an honest and hard working man, but he was an idealist and that clouds logical thinking and sound judgement. His foreign and domestic policies left so much to be desired. Ultimately, this lead to him being labelled as our worst president, the title he held until the past few years.

New forecast calls for clouds today and a high of 83F, sunshine and 86F tomorrow. Guess that cold front defied the forecasters and stayed to the north and the people of Britain defied the elites and voted themselves out of the EU.

As usual, some could be severe. Hoping for nice weather for the weekend, but so far the prediction of a cold front to the north to pass over Virginia has not actually occurred.
