The global warming alarmist forecaster was beating his chest yesterday and declaring that today we would blow past our all-time high temperature of 81F (set in 1975), but the forecast this morning calls for a high of only 78F. He is truly disappointed. The morning clouds are expected to give way to sunshine this afternoon and beginning tomorrow we should expect the next 10 days to be average to well below average in temperature. Heading up to visit my mother-in-law this afternoon, so y'all try to keep this place respectable while I'm gone.

As much as we like to think that the P-38 was a great air superiority fighter, there was one version of the P-38 that was superior to all the other versions. That version was the P-38K. Sadly, the U.S. government decided that even though it outclassed the other variants of the P-38, they did not want to risk shutting down the P-38 production lines to allow Lockheed to retool for producing this version.
