The temperature is expected to dip to the mid-50's this evening and then remain there for all of tomorrow. Still watching Hurricane Joaquin. Yesterday's NOAA forecast put it making landfall in New Jersey, last night the track was up the middle of the Chesapeake Bay, this morning it is a slightly meandering path and landfall is again projected to be in New Jersey or New York.

Morning y'all, 73F, very humid, cloudy, expecting showers and possibly thunderstorms today with a high of 80F. Tropical Storm Joaquin is now expected to intensify to a category 1 or possible 2 hurricane as it makes a much gentler and slower turn to the north than first predicted. It's forecast track now takes it much closer to the coast and landfall may be in New Jersey.

Morning y'all, 65F and cloudy, large band of rain to the south that is slowly moving north. Rain should start here around noon, expecting a high temperature of only 74F.

Morning y'all, clear skies and 54F now, but the clouds will arrive and the high today is forecast to be around 78F. Periods of rain and showers arrive tomorrow and will continue through Sunday. Keeping an eye on the tropical weather in the Atlantic. Tropical Storm Ida has been turning in circles for a few days, was supposed to head north and dissipate, but is now expected to turn west southwest, and move closer to the equatorial waters of the Atlantic. Here in Virginia, tropical storms and hurricanes named after women whose names begin with the letter "I" have been devastating storms.
