Weather guesscaster was a little closer to being right, clear skies all day and 93F. My "official" work week has ended and I am now on my Memorial Day holiday weekend.

Today's forecast calls for partly cloudy skies to give way to full sunshine in the late morning and early afternoon hours. Partly cloudy skies late in the afternoon and evening, today's high is expected to be 89F. Tonight, partly cloudy skies and a low of 64F. Heard a few rumbles of thunder yesterday evening, but the storm scooted to the north, leaving Casa de Stans dry as a bone. No rain in today's forecast, looks like maybe tomorrow afternoon and Saturday we might get a little rain.

PSU supply seems to be a bit limited too and the quality has declined. My failed PSU was an EVGA 750 watt unit, you would think it would be really good, but it quickly failed. I have read numerous reports of what used to be considered highest quality PSU's failing after just a short amount of use. Seems to be more new production motherboard failures too. I don't know if there are now quality issues with capacitors and semiconductors or if there are issues with manufacturing the finished computer components, but longevity seems to be a real crap-shoot these days.

Yep, even though the power supply in mine turned out to be a dud, I'm glad I bought what I did when I did. There is no way I could buy components and assemble them for any less that what I paid for my current computer.

It's not just money, it's finding components. The only reason I bought a pre-built system this time is because of the scalper prices on current video cards. Video cards currently being made are scooped up by cryptocurrency miners, system builders, and scalpers, little to nothing left for the retail market.
