Nothing special, it's a Black & Decker toaster oven/air fryer, gave it to my wife for her birthday. Got it at Walmart. Be warned, it does not come with a set of cookbooks and as a multi-use unit, it does not do any one thing with perfection. It's nice because it does not take up a lot of counter space, which our kitchen simply does not have enough, and it does two things, so just one appliance taking up that counter space instead of two. It throws heat out through its back panel. The wall behind ours is tiled with phenolic resin backed stainless tiles (did that job myself, once, never again if I can avoid it), which seem to be holding up well to the 150F surface temperatures they are routinely getting to. Morning y'all, rain and thunderstorms. Last night, the low hit 55F, the temperature is now 58F. The forecast calls for a slight chance of scattered thunderstorms and cloudy skies this morning as temperatures rise to 79F by 1400 EDT. This afternoon, a 60% chance of rain and thunderstorms, some could be severe. Tonight, clearing skies and a low of 40F.

So much for today's forecast. The thunderstorms that were to arrive in the early hours of Sunday arrived around 1645 EDT today. I was planning on grilling some pork chops for supper, but ended up only browning them on the grill before the rain got heavy. My wife finished cooking them in her new toaster/air fryer. They, along with cubed sweet potatoes, turned out pretty darned good!

What? We set our clocks forward and surrendered an hour of our lives three weeks ago. Where you been?
