Pinged a few times last night. Going from that memory and not starting the game to verify, it's the Navigator guy at the bottom, click his report and it's the 2nd last report from right before weather.
Lesson learned from other sub sims. I ping well before direct or anticipated contact.

They charge faster. It's there with the other whizbangs. Bought them first as a priority over crew.

We (meaning Barry & I) scored excellent throughout, but felt let down in getting only 1500 renown points. We were anticipating maybe 3 or 4000.
Oh well. Upgraded the batteries and the rest on crew with 190 points left.

After I finish Frag order Info, we (Barry & I) will continue to AN13.
I'm hoping we expend all fish, HE & AP by the time we get there. I really don't want to be there long.

How the heck do you look at the radio messages? It says I've recieved but I can't read them.
I'm doing the training in Nav. Steer S.S.E. easy done fine. Then I'm supposed to navigate thru the channel. WTF does that mean? Cruised all over the freekin place and not get credit for it. So I figure I'm supposed to do what the radio messages tell me to to get the credit, but I can't read the bleeding thing. Clicked all over the bloody place and nadda.
Read the manual, and as usual, tells me squat.

Rome: Total War went berzerk on me because it loaded b over my c. I re-installed c and all is well.
Gotta jump thru a bunch of (verification) hoops to get c back tho.
