  1. Rick's Review was on the mark. SH III is ....... magnificent. The only prob I had was finding where the heck the disc code was. Had to read the manual. Only spent an hour with it but ......... wow. Yes Barry I have it. Stumbled upon it at Staples.
  2. Hey, HBD (belated) Arch.

    Gute morgen

Good morning. A dullish day today with temps to 10C/50F. Snow is gone. Been on the road all weekend. Looking forward to a day of staying put. Not today, however, as I have one more trip to make.
  4. Happy & safe Easter weekend to all.
  5. Mornin all. ^%$##%^ blizzard tore in yesterday knocking out power and internet. E-mail still on the fritz. Calm now but everything is covered by 4 cm of snow now. oh S!
  6. What in tarnation did ya do Paddles!!!!! You hit the clone button instead of name change?????? the room is beginning to spin. steady. ok ummmm hello me.
  7. OMG my CQ I forgot. Ah well, I guess I'll have to wait for the new FM patch.
  8. CBCNewsworld. Actually, I've got this sudden hankering for some Motown. Maybe Brit R&R. Aha, The Commitments soundtrack.
  9. If you say it's that good Rick, then it's good enough for me. I've been real stingy on what's on my HD in the past few years with only the IL2 series and just recently Rome" Total War. Loved Aces of the Deep and Silent Hunter. Yes this type of sim is very different. More cerebral. I even got to the point of creating firing tables and got to the point where, with the use of a watch, shoot and kill periscope down. When I see it I'll get it (hear that Barry! I know you are lurking ) It's just a matter of getting time to play this stuff. My priority is VMF-124.

    Mornin' all.

Good morning. It's starting to feel a bit like spring now.
  11. Chopper

    Mornin' all.

G'mornin. A dreary grey day. Still waiting for snow to be gone.
  12. 34%.. Definite Yank. Well I do live in the middle of the fricken Great Lakes so ..... That 34% I blame on VMF-124.
  13. Chopper

    Mornin' all.

Good morning. No it ain't. It's snowin.
  14. S! wondering how much bronze is left from those Crimean cannons
  15. Also known as The Alamo Complex. I suffer from it too, and takes discipline to mission build and not make the squadron suffer as well.
  16. Good mornin all. Kind of a grey day. Just waiting for the remaining snow to melt.
  17. Thanks Arch. Just to show that I can be even weirder than Schatten, the part that caught my eye was "new ground objects". I'd get excited about the maps, but, unless things have changed, there'll be only 3. Two Murmansk and I forget what the PTO one is, but though it may be needed, it wan't anything I wanted. New FM? Well the one we have is fine, but sure I'll take. The prob is that new FM invariably starts a round of criticism envoking more patches. 100+ MB size ain't bad. We've had bigger. I'm somewhat suprised at that.
  18. Shoulda known mentiioning the Arrow would start something. But yep, costs had little to do with it. Hint: We lost the Arrow and got the Bomarc. The worst of it, is when Avro team disbanded. http://www.exn.ca/apollo/Canada/ I still remember the little skit (Canadian Air Farce??) where Armstrong set foot on the moon and uttered "One small step for man, One large step for mankind" and then a hockey puck ricochets off his helmut.
  19. Poop. It'll end up going the way of the Avro Arrow. Then our engineers and scientists will end up states-side, probably at NASA, and next thing you know the Yanks will be crowing about being the 1st to set foot on Mars. Deja vous all over again.
  20. GONZO????!!!!! Does that mean Maine is mane_raptor????
  21. Good morn. Cloudy but otherwise not bad out @ 0C/32F.
