Harpooners found out that IRC is extremely useful for people doing things like beta testing or play testing scenarios. I've been IRC'ing since 94. And yeah, it was a major pain in the ass till two things happened: I built up a big enough banlist, along with a rep, and making the channel -/+invite Boats

Au contraire, according to folks like Stephen Coontz, a night launch has serious pucker factor. Imagine, you're strapped to the cat, engines screaming, and all you can see in front ofyou is a big black hole. You get the cat shot, and you're now screaming down a black tunnel, with no references save needles and ball. Worse, is the time spent on Alert 5, staring out into the black, thinking of all the bad things that can happen on a launch, and then praying you won't get the word. Boats

Paper blitz complete! My daughter got me a Sony 4.1 mp Cybershot digital camera and a digital photo printer. WAY COOL! Now I got a way to take a LOT of pictures on my next cruise Little girl also got me some bad to the bone Tommy Bahama deck shoes, that are not only sweet looking shoes, but like anything Tommy Bahama, comfortable to the max Last, she got me a really cool T shirt But the best things I got for Christmas, are the things you can't put wrapping paper on. I love each and every one of them, and think I'm the luckiest guy in the world: my wonderful family! Boats

Merry Christmas, gentlemen! Paper orgy is somewhat diluted this year, as most of our Christmas was the cruise, but there is still a few things to open and enjoy. Time for coffee, need the old caffeine and nicotiene kickstart, dontcha know Boats

Still enjoying warm weather (did I tell you twits how nice it was in the Bahamas and Grand Turk ) Got a couple of last minute things to do, and then I spend the rest of the day enjoying myself. Boats, who is beginning to wish he'd bought a couple of bottles of Dr. Bombays Best Gin duty-free when he had the chance ($23!)

Got back home about an hour ago guys! Had a great time, weather was great, food was great, and I kicked Tanqueray to the curb...I found Dr. Bombays Cure-all Gin! Me and the missus spent quite a bit of time out by the pool listening to a pretty good band and socking away the Bombay and tonic and whateverthehell those drinks were with the parasols in them (she drank them, it's a Man Law for guys to do booze with a parasol in it ) We went down to Grand Turk, which Carnival is starting to exploit, I mean develop, then to a nice private island for some good times and a cookout. Last was Nassau, which was pretty cool. FYI, don't use the ship tours. We got a tour from one of the licensed guide down on the dock, for $20 a head. Took us all around, drove us in a very nice van. If any of you gits head down that way, let me know, I'll hook you up with the guy that drove us, he was really good at what he does, and was very informative about the island. Ivan told us stuff that you'd never hear on a ship tour, like the Bahamas doesn't jail capital offenders, it HANGS them. And there's a lot of debate right now on bringing back the cat o'nine tails for drug offenders. Oh, by the way, first offender, simple possession, is 5 years, no if and or buts. Rape is life, no plea bargain. Ivan also took us to some shopping away from downtown that was pretty good. Guys, avoid the Straw Market like the plague. If your wife insists on going, there's a nice bar (Froggys!) right next to it...she can collect you when she's done Carnival vs. Royal Carribean: Carnival hands down Fly or cruise? Tard, cruise, of course! Anyway, glad to be back, and will take some time to read everything ya'll have put up since I left. Boats

Yup, I have it on good authority that Dr. Bombays Best is a great cure for what ails ya Byron, who will be departing in 2 hours, and will be sitting at the Poolbar by 5 this afternoon, enjoying what comes when the sun is over the yardarm.. LIBERTY CALL, LIBERTY CALL, ALL HANDS MUSTER FOR LIBERTY CALL! NOW LIBERTY CALL! Boats

I was talking to my fellow leadmen at work yesterday, and they were all wanting to know how the hell I managed to get a vacation at Christmas while we had work up to our ears. I told them I put in for it 5 months in advance, and got it approved way back then. And like I told my buddy Steve, a machinist leadman, "Proper planning prevents piss poor performance!" Boats

Yup, noon tomorrow, we head down to Port Canaveral to start our vacation. Weather in the Bahamas is expected to be around 80, with a low of 65...really sucks to be me...NOT! Here's our itinery: http://www.carnival.com/Itinerary.aspx?emb...ubRegionCode=BH This time tomorrow night, I'll be staggering back to our room (or pushed back in a wheelchair, the stewards are SO accomodating! ) after imbibing in very reasonable hooch Ya'll take care, and make sure Donnie keeps taking his meds...I don't think we can stand any more people living inside his head Boats
