No blues for me, guys, i've had a great day. stood my lady up at the bus stop (she waited for like half an hour after school), caught up with her an hour later outside her house, and then realised we'd been standing next to each all along in the bus. crap, she was pissed. i've got this really beautiful bruise halfway down my shin, and its doin the vibgyor right now. guess she likes me

Goodnight all, have a great Tuesday.

Afternoon all, just got back from school. yesterday was the Navy Ball here. Oh the babes!!! the music!!! the babes!!! I still haven't found an excuse for staying at home. Its not like i could do anything usefull, coz the music was making thinking an effort, even from a kilom away. They got a couple of djs and celebs and rocked all night long. the party broke up at aound 0430 this morning, and while dressing for school i caught glimpses of totally swoshed wrecks trying to fit the key into the cardoor. most just crawled back home. apparently the drinking was as bad as the music- it just kept goin on. The dj finally got his act together at two. till then he kept playing my grandma's favourite nursery rhymes. rumour has it the turntable collapsed at 4 - they used it as a makeshift bar. anyway, thats the dj's problem. I've got permission to go out for an hour of basketball today. hope someone turns up, most people have prefinals starting tomorrow. waiting for the buzz. last year someone tried to kiss one of the russians' wives - she punched him out. that subbie never knew what hit him. last heard he'd been transferred to a torpedo recovery vessel - THE most boring job in the navy.
More newz next time i bunk.

Welcome aboard, strungout. If you think this is nuts, you aint seen nothin yet.
Tried IAF? Rather outdated, but i'm off newer flight sims till the summer (they're a summerly addiction). I've heard a lot about Fal4, and one thing everyone seems to agree on is that its the best. try it.

Oh yeah, and btw, during the october hols this group called Bombay Rockers (they're from Denmark, one dane and an indian) came out with the rock remix of a folk song called Ari Ari. they've done it with this other group that call themselves Overseas, and the result is a really great song. they've retained the Punjabi of the original, and added English lines to it. if you're on broadband, and keen on sampling something different, try www.bombayrockers.com/arifilm.html Wait for the whole song to load before playing it, as IMO the English bit sucks, while the punjabi is frikkin awesome. And i'm not biased, coz i know as much punjabi as you guys, even though i'm from the capital of Punjab
a major sore point in the family. From what my rents translated for me, the song is originally one sung by guys to girls in rural punjab during the harvest season. its done like this. collect the entire village after the evening harvesting is over. light a fire, seat the grown-ups and elders around it in a wide circle, and while everyone makes the music with drums and flutes and all that, the boys and girls stand in 2 lines facing each other and sing the song. the guy who wishes to propose takes a sugarcane stalk (ganna), bites off the end, and offers the rest to a girl (usually the object of his affection). if she likes him, she takes it and bites off the other end, whereupon everyone sings, dances and drinks bhang, an intoxicant which even the irish would have trouble with. If, on the other hand, she wishes he'd just f**k off, the girl takes the cane and no, doesn't beat the crap outta him, but breaks the cane in half.
Thank god i'm from an urban family, and am gonna get into an arranged marriage.
Just imagine, what if she breaks it in front of the entire clan?? I'd bloody piss in my pants right there.
Try it, its really great.
Especially the punjabi bit at the end, when everyone intercedes with Ohos and Ahas.
