No105_Archie Posted July 10, 2006 Report Share Posted July 10, 2006 The first attempt at a transatlantic flight by the US Marines new Osprey muti purpose AC will take off from Goose Bay today heading for the UK. Three Osprey arrives from the US, two will try the flight and the other is returning to wherever its home base is. If there are any pics in the local papers I'll send them later. Here's some info on the plane. http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/v-22.htm Goose Bay used to be a lend lease USAF base, there is still a token US force there.
