Stans
They were truly a band of the 80's, at least in the U.S. They rocketed to the top of the U.S. pop charts in 1982, the five lads were removed from the pubs of Australia and went global, pushing incredibly hard to churn out more hits and maintain an impossible touring schedule. By 1984 they were totally exhausted, burned out and pretty much not speaking to each other. Three of them did get together and make a third album, but it was never really popular. Donster
Could be worse. You could be Ronin, stuck in that green vinyl lounge, singing along with the karaoke machine blaring Barry Manilow's Greatest Hits.

JClark
Music always sounds way better with the ol' headphones Yep, laying on the carpet, headphones on, lights off, candles lit, listening to the "progressive rock" station, and smoking a doobie (Yes, this was way the hell back in the early 70's) Nowadays, if I lay on the carpet more than 5 minutes, my back goes out on me, and I can't stand up Boats
Gunny
Boats, you NEVER break to something like your back going out. Makes folks think they can take you.

Yeah that's one of the cardinal rules right there. Not carrying a cane around is another one.
Stans
Yep, headphones are great. I've always used speakers, but these days I really like the headphones. Mine are not the greatest either, just a set of Altec Lansing's with a boom mike. I bought them for online gaming, but they sound so much better than desktop speaker and even better than my boom box stereo.
Gunny
A cane could be considered another form of a weapon however.
Stans
I have a cane. I don't normally use it, but twice I have had injuries that required the use of said cane. And yes, even an ordinary cane can be used as a lethal weapon.

JClark
Boys, I don't ever plan for the fight to last more than 15 seconds...way more time than it takes for my back to go out. I'm a firm believer in "hit first, hit hard, hit last" school of hand to hand. And yes, as I told my grandson, it won't matter if I'm in a hospital bed, you sass me, I'll whale the crap out of you with my cane Boats
