Stans
Three days to unpack and put all the decorations, one to pull it all down, pack it up and put back into the attic. The great room is dark without the lights from the tree, the front porch is now dimly illuminated only be the little bit of light scatter from the flag spot light and the L.E.D. spot lights. Oh, well, in 11 months I get to do it all again.

No105_Archie
BAH ! There are 12 Days of Christmas ...we keep it going up here until Jan.6, known as "old Christmas Day" or "Twelfth Night". Of course very few folks up here decorate until about mid December either. Lots more celebrating yet

Schatten
The "Great Room" Stans? Are you moonlighting as Henry V now or something?
Donster
The "Great Room" Stans? Are you moonlighting as Henry V now or something? You should see his outhouse!
mane_raptor
And I bet it's eco-friendly too, you know powered by NATURAL gas.
Stans
Yep, gas powered. Don't know how "natural" it is, but definitely gas. And you're just jealous that you don't have a fully decorated, composting outhouse.
mane_raptor
And you're just jealous that you don't have a fully decorated, composting outhouse. No just wondering why you don't have indoor plumbing like most modern civilized people do.
Donster
Mane always has to head for the outhouse at least 15 minutes before he realizes he has to go due to distance and snow... But once he is there, it's worth the trip... Smart of you to place it next to the pines Mane. I'm sure the local wildlife appreciate the natural air freshener once you finish! mane_raptor
But I think you got that caption wrong, looks like I'm in the pumphouse, not the outhouse. Hard to tell sometimes, mostly though, you go by smell and feel to tell the difference.
