mane_raptor
First day of spring my arse !! ....maybe somewhere in the world but sure as hell not here. I'm with you Arch............ I turn on the Weather Channel to get a look at the latest radar pic to find out when this "wintery mix" is going to end and I go out to shovel, fling, and chip away all the snow and ice that has been coming down for the past 16 or so hours and what do I see......... A bunch of photos sent in by folks of flowers blooming, green grass, and trees budding with leaves, while the weather bimbo says, "I certainly hope you all are enjoying this first day of Spring, and thanks to all of you for sending in your photos of sringtime in your area", in that fake Southern accent they all seems to have. You know at that moment I wished I had a digital camera so that I could sent her a few of my backyard, with it's mounds of snow, ice-coated apple trees, and slush filled walkways. Welcome to Spring in Maine!

Donster
Ok Mane...I feel for ya, I really do. I mean I hate winter/snow/ice as much as you. I took a walk around my house for the first time since probably November, and what do I see, but the Asian Lilies and a few Crocus are pushing their way thru the landscape lava rock. So, I guess what I am saying is...well...if this must happen...I'M FRICKIN' GLAD IT IS HERE AT MY PLACE AND NOT YOURS!!!
