Stans
Comcast Communications is considering limiting the amount of data their customers can download each month. It's uncertain if they will actually do it or how they will do such a thing, but the limit is likely to be 250 GB per month. How many GB do I download in a month? How will I keep track of my usage? What about online gaming? Is this a return to the days of paying per hour for internet access? The Dude
I supposedly have a limit per month, but I've not yet reached it, and I do a fair amount of surfing and mod downloading. Nothing huge, but I've never exceeded my monthly limit.

No105_Archie
Rogers is doing the same thing up here. They sent out a notice which showed what the limit would be and what my usage had been for the last 6 months ....I never even came close to half. The notice said you would need to download something like 100 movies a month to exceed your limit
Spectre_USA
I am sure the RIAA is involved somehow, and that it is brought on via P2P users as well. That seems to be the main method for file sharing/pirating. This is, of course, absurd, as the computer gaming scene is a shell of its former self, dagnabbit... mane_raptor
How will I keep track of my usage? That's simple.....................Ask the Department of Homeland Security, they know!
Stans
@ Mane I really don't know how much I download on a monthly basis. I know when someone posts video of Corsairs, B-17's, etc. on YouTube I start downloading. Game, software and driver updates all add to the download total. How much data is downloaded during an online flight session? I understand that the limits are to hinder those that are running file sharing servers and perhaps illegally sharing movies and music. I'd hate to think that I was in the middle of one of those uber rare times when I can join in a VMF-124 flight only to have Comcast shut off my service because I hit my monthly limit just as I was about to send Baltar down in flames. mane_raptor
Well, Baltar would be happy.
Stans
Yeah, but I wouldn't! I think I've shot down everybody (one way or another) at least once with the exception of Baltar. I've shot down Whiz so many times that it became less of a sport and more of a custom.
mane_raptor
I know what ya mean..................One of the guys that fly on my rig, "Cosmo", showed up early one night and wanted to do a little DF. So we fired her up and jumped in. I shot him down 15 times in a row. Everytime he'd warp in, I'd get on his tail and flame him. Got to the point where it got boring. But I don't think you ever got me, execpt in a merge, that is.

Stans
It's only a landing if you can walk (or run) away.
