Schatten
Didn't Vista just come out not too long ago? And still be broken? I mean sheesh.
Donster
Didn't Vista just come out not too long ago? And still be broken? I mean sheesh. I don't think Vista is "broken", so to speak. The Vista SP1 patch has fixed many problems. XP has had 3 SP patches to fix problems. The main problem with Vista and people here on this forum is that it is a resource hog, and that causes problems for gamers. I have a duel boot system with XP and Vista. I have had no problems with Vista, before the Vista SP1 patch or after. There are many things I like about it. Some I don't. I feel the same way with XP. It always comes down to the eyes of the beholder. Bad press has killed Vista, some warranted, some not, IMHO. Microsoft is mostly to blame for most of it, due to rushing out the product, etc. Remember, there is no guarantee that Windows 7 is going to be any better. Stans
Actually, the third XP patch was little more than a cumulative patch of 1 and 2, plus the typical M$ ploy of slipping something in there to break XP for a number of users. Glad I stuck with SP2. Windows 7 is said to remove some of the troublesome "features" of Vista, so 7 will be to Vista what XP was to ME.
