Fuel prices must be down

Fuel prices are falling and the cost of AvGas must be following suit. I heard a familiar noise this afternoon, one that I have not heard since this summer when gasoline prices shot up. It was the unmistakable sound of a Wright Cyclone R-1820 radial engine propelling a T-28 through the sky. :) This T-28 lives at the Chesterfield County airport, just a few miles from my house.

Fuel prices dipped this low back in 2004 here.

Here's a 6-year comparison of average fuel prices in Canada versus the US.

Canadians pay, on average, $1.20 per gallon more than folks in the US. Why? Fuel taxes. Must be what pays for our health care.

Geez, and I thought we were getting ganked at 24% of the price being taxes, on average, depending on state.

But I have to admit, I looked right at some signs in Vancouver BC when I was up there a couple months back, and had absolutely know idea what the price was.

I wasn't concerned enough to ask someone to explain it, as I did not rent a car or anything...
