neddie seagoon Posted December 22, 2008 Report Share Posted December 22, 2008 Cool. They don't use those old warbirds anymore. Too many started to come apart in the air. Old age you know. Kinda like me. I'm deathly afraid I'm going to come apart in the air one day. LAFD much prefers helicopters. Way more versitile, sometimes it's very difficult to get fixed wing equipment in close enough on account of the steep hilly terrain and winds. Around here we don't get fires if it's not windy.
