I gave blood quarterly until '99 when my health went kaputt. Now, they run me off, low oil pressure.

Donster
I donate blood platelets. Not whole blood. Platelet is done using an Apheresis machine, and the donation takes about 80+ minutes, depending on various factors. The platelets are used in treating Cancer patients. My blood type is A Negative. Only 5.7% of the United States population are A Negative. So there...I am a rare person! I started donating platelets because of my oldest brother being diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. He since had surgery and is so far Cancer free. Oh and this is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, head on over to your local Red Cross Center, roll up your sleeve, and help to ... .................................or if you prefer.................................. It was confirmed later when I began giving whole blood. I hear it's not good if you ever need blood in an emergency! WTF, I've made it this far! The Dude
Fear not, TCat, I'm O+, which makes me a universal blood donor to A,B, AB, and O, but I can only receive type-O blood. Yes, I my friendly Revenue Canada sucks my blood every month and the takes a huge gulp every April 30th. Bastiges!
Stans
The USSA Central Revenue Bureau gets me twice a month (that is if I can actually draw pay that often ), the 15th of every month (payroll and unemployment taxes, "yeah" for me being an employer) and again on the 15th of April. By the way, my blood type is the ultra rare "IW". Ice Water
