Donster
Morning. Clear and 56F. Temp topping out at 84F. Busy day, as have to, along with another volunteer, test the drainage system from each units downspouts, as we have had at least one home that had the drainage tubing underground become pinched off, due to improper original installation, and using the wrong drainage tubing. Would cost at least $100 per unit to hire someone to do this. 30 units total. So I have mapped out which units have some erosion from suspected and improper tubing. Will test all the units to be sure of restrictions in the drainage from each house. Won't get 'em all done today though. Will probably take a few days, and one cannot do until Tuesday. The slow up is that more than half the units were built with no outside water faucet. They put them in the garage of most, including mine. Dumb bastards. Excuse was at the development the built before ours, people were stealing water. Yeah, right. It was a way to save a couple hundred bucks per unit, unless the owner requested a faucet outside. Oh and I received two offers to help me. One is a woman, who I know will help me. The guy won't be available until Saturday. This is out of 30 units. Now many of the owners are elderly, so I have no problem with them. But many are younger than me, or in better physical condition than me, and not a peep from them. No105_Archie
We Newfs often bitch about our weather. It's 6C here today and there were actually some wet snow flurries on the high ground early in the morning...........but when I see weather reports from some parts of the continent with temps of 34C and 36C with a humidex even higher than that and tornadoes and wild fires......maybe it ain't so bad.......ya .....that's my story and I'm stickin' with it

The younger ones are far too busy playing X-Box or going out to the movies and/or dinner to help with such things. These youngsters make me sick. Why I ought to... Wait a sec, someone's knocking at the door, probably wants me to volunteer to help with a community project. I'll be back to finish my rant just as soon as I tell them I'm too busy to help. Donster
Well worked alone from 10 until 2. Tested 6 units. Tired of dragging both my garden hose and my hose around in 84F heat. To frickin' tired and pain level to high to continue today. Frickin' drains will still be there tomorrow. Hope I get some assistance tomorrow though. I think the Association owes me an expensive steak dinner. And a case of beer.
