Poor bastard! I hate painting. Rather take a beating from the wife then paint. Wait...she beats me anyway and I still end up painting things on occasion. I am so totally screwed in my life.

Clear skies, 58F with a high of 86F. Going to go back to my drainage testing work around 9am. Going to have some help today. Karen, one of the local babes is gonna help me with my hose. Oh and she is 15 years younger than me, so she is not one of the old ladies that live her, so just get that crap out of your minds right now!

All joking aside, she is a great neighbor and friend, helps everyone she can, and single, and I am probably to much for her, that or she is afraid of Lottie.

And I am thankful for the help.

It's cold (0C/32F, feels like -6C/21F with wind) and snowing a ton.

Trees are in danger of losing branches as the heavy wet snow weighs them down.

March was a better month than May.

I know it's due to the jet stream being pushed to the east of us, but where in heck is all this cold air coming from? It's not coming down from the north, it's warmer there than here.

Update: Here's the explanation (see image below): a high-altitude pocket of cold air (-45C) right over our city (we're under the orange blob right in the center of the image) is just pouring down through a hole above us. There's a similar pocket above Manitoba to the east of us, but it's not getting down to ground level, like it is here ...

The very definition of useless is being pissed off about the weather, but damn, much more of this and I'm either going transmogrify into the reincarnation of Gandi or I'm going to frickin' lose it and have a massive coronary. Ten #$@&'ing months of winter is enough!

Please sir, may I have just a sliver, a drop, a scrap, a wafer thin piece of sunlight?

This dark, leaden, gray post-apocalyptic nuclear winter is driving me MENTAL.

And for what I have no idea. Everybody loves Canada and Canadians. If it was me in the USA, I'd have an excuse, like being called fucking arrogant rich bastards, baby killers and ritualistic Satanist pieces of vermin, etc.

I think Al Gore should travel there and let you all pelt him with snowballs packed with rocks, spark plugs, and other stuff until he slowly, in agonizing pain, dies. Finished all the drainage tubing test work but one unit. Have to wait until Tuesday because the owner requested I do it then as they are out of town for the weekend. I am beat. Which I am not sure if worse than being spanked. I guess it depends on who is doing the spanking?
