Donster Posted July 8, 2010 Report Share Posted July 8, 2010 Morning. Finally should have a day without rain. Cold front moved though last night, dumping another inch of rain. Waterloo, home town of the 5 Sullivan Brothers, which is north of Cedar Rapids, received up to 5 inches of rain yesterday morning. Lots of flooding. Talked to my neighbor, said his brother lives in Waterloo, called him and he has a foot of water in his basement, one house on his street had the basement wall collapse, streets and yards flooded. All that water will be coming down the Cedar River to Cedar Rapids over the next week. Everybody is praying that the rains go away for a good week, or there is going to be major flooding again in much of the state. 81F and less muggy today.
