Stans Posted December 28, 2011 Report Share Posted December 28, 2011 It's been a long day, I've been up for nearly 20 hours, at the hospital with the misses at 0600 for her procedure, brought home, got her drugs, prepared three meals for her, now she's doped up and settled in for a long snooze. Why, back in my day, we could do all that, then go pick up a new babe at a local college bar, have a romp back at her place while drinking excessively, get back home, shower and shave fix the misses some breakfast, and go to work for ten hours. Wot? You think that's something? Back in the day when men were men, and sheep looked nervous, we used to be up at 3am, report for duty at 3.20am, after eating a full breakfast AND doing forty pushups, then putting in a full days work , PLUS filling in for yer mate who was sick again, finish at 10.30 and report to yer second job, which started at 11am, and finished at 6pm, THEN go to the local Pub, win a darts game while beating the local beer-drinking champ, pack up and drive home at 11pm, make the missus a cuppa, take a shower and climb into bed for a refreshing 2hr sleep, ready to go again at 3am.
