After Action Report for Jutland - played with Steam and Iron

The scenario is good and interesting right up until the user interface breaks down due to its awkwardness. Then, it becomes a chore. This happens around 0:50. The entire experience was still posted so as to show both the strengths and weaknesses within the game.

After the smashing and controversial success of the first SAI video AAR, "AARs in Broken EngRish So It Is Better To Let Herman Do The Talk" Productions presents: JUTLAND: THE GERMAN SIDE.

(which is also a look at patch 1.01, under which it was played, at Admiral C2 level)

Enjoy!

The third video AAR in the "Jutland" series is based on a "what if". The scenario is the historical one, but what if Scheer suffered from OCD and wanted to micromanage everything?

Joking aside, it is Jutland played from the GERMAN side at Captain's Command & Control, under v.1.01. This completes an overview of the three different levels of control. Of course those who watched the previous AARs will, by now, be familiar with the scenario, but I'm glad to say that events in this AAR still evolve in their own new and unexpected way.

Enjoy!

To close out the "Jutland" series of AARs - and push the engine to its limits - we chose the BRITISH side in the "Operational" variant, the "maximum forces" options, and Captain's Command & Control setting. It is still Jutland, but as random and unexpected as it gets.

The result is a giganto video AAR with everything: hide & seek, BCs blowing up, torpedoes galore, day and night battles, rammings, point-blank broadsides, and a bloody brawl where both parties decided to fight the battle to the bitter end. For these reason this AAR is rated PG-13

Also, a new, annoying bug (not yet in the 1.02 list - first time we meet it actually).

As always, we hope that you enjoy the narrative. It is possible, since some players requested it, that the next AAR will be of a small-scale action, so as to show the combat model in more detail (location hits, specific capabilities of different ship classes, and so on). However, this will probably happen after patch 1.02 is out.
