Happy Friday the 13th

Recommended Posts

Morning y'all, it got all the way down to 67F last night! It's currently 68, looking for upper 80's today. Really hot weather returns tomorrow and temps will run from the low to upper 90's for at least the next nine days. Y'all have a great day.

Morning Infidels! Since you haven't agreed to join and sell your souls to the New and Improved New World Order®, you will continue to suffer from the weather we control, soon food shortages caused by the drought we have designed. You will become more and more dependent on your Governments, who now are in complete control of the New and Improved New World Order®! And soon, our puppets in the United Nations will take the guns away from you American Infidel citizens, so you won't be able to put up any resistance! Enjoy your Friday the 13th, as from now on everyday will be like a Friday the 13th, and everything you hold as precious is being taken away.

Yeah, well, we have started growing our own veggies and stocking up on canned and non-perishable foods, got plenty of ammo too. Come and get it... if you can withstand the hail of lead. :ph43r:

I cannot wait for this day to come to an end. My friends, I have received nothing but bad news starting last night when I got home and checked my emails. This morning it has been one bad thing after another. It is definitely a Friday the 13th.

Morning.

Lots of lovely heat here, but it does get a tad miserable without any A/C in the house.

Hope your Friday the 13th is an uneventful one (accept you, Stans ... it's too late for you )

18? 18? Nobodys bloody-well 18! I think I jumped from 6 to 20, 'cause I don't even remember 18! Wasn't that when we had the Great Depression or something?

Of course I remember yesterday! I'm not senile, you know! That was the day after Thursday, and it's called.......errrrr.....don't rush me now..........give me a hint................well, anyway, it's the day before today, and tomorrow's Monday, right?

A hint? Ok, I had FRIes with my cheeseburger yesterday.

Actually, we did go out for cheeseburgers and fries. They were very good and we enjoyed them immensely, even though Mechelle Obama scowled at us.

You need to check your KB Caps Lock key, Stans. It's probably dirty or something, and it's a good idea to check your message for tiping errors before hitting 'send', OK? No thanks needed, just doing my job.

Well the way I see it is that if you HAVE a lot of money then you vote Conservative ( in England), Republican (US), if you don't have money then you vote Labour (in England) or Democrat (US).........its that simple.

Sorry, mate, I left England in the 50s because I couldn't stand the Labor Party manifesto of giving away the kitchen sink to anybody that would vote for them and their damned unions, and although I've never had any amount of money I vote Republican because my common sense tells me that in order for a country to thrive somebody has to employ somebody to make something then sell it and re-invest that profit to then make more items to sell, etc, etc, etc. The Government only PRINTS money, it doesn't produce it. That's why the Labor (Democratic) Party appeals so much to the layabouts who don't want to work, but take a Govt handout, which is produced by the people who DO want to work, if the Government policies produce jobs, for which said Government trumpets how its helping the working man, whereas it's really only taking the money with the right hand and passing it to the left hand and giving it to the layabout. I have no problem with anybody making humungeous amounts of money honestly, i.e. Romney, so long as they invest it in endevours that produce jobs that employ people that want to work, and produce more investment money. To me, the Labor (Democratic) Party appeals to those that have a liking for Socialism, that is we should bring everybody down to one level, so nobody suffers, and we all join hands and sing "Kumbaya" or something. But humans are not equal in thoughts, or work ethic, and some will wait for a handout, while others will work like hell for what they want. Sorry, didn't mean to rant, but I have one daughter on Food Stamps and another who busts her butt to provide for her son, so I feel a little strongly about this.

Well thats all well and good but why is it that only the rich vote one way and the poor another?.......its simple, thats the way its always been, and your rant won't change that, the greedy want to keep what they have!, its a human instinct...........and I have no doubt they'll be off to church after counting their millions. ;)

I detect a little bit of class conflict here, matey, and some anti-spiritual bias! You're quite right, of course, about the human instinct bit. If I had just thousands that I'd accrued from my labor, physical or mental, I'd sure as hell want to keep it. Wouldn't you? And if the jolly old Tax man said, "Mr Harlow, as you have all this money, and these poor people over there have much less, we, the kindly Government, feel that you wouldn't mind sharing some with them to alleviate their suffering. Don't you agree?"

Well, says I, has this poor man tried to find work? If he's looking I'd be happy to share some with him, but if, as I suspect, he's only waiting for his next Welfare check, as he has for the last two years, then screw him, he can starve! And how come he has five kids, all of whom lack decent clothes and appear undernourished, when he has no job, and his wife's pregnant again? Is my money going to them to produce more kids? If so, to hell with you and your bleeding heart ideas!

As for my going to Church, I feel an appropriate response to the blessings that the Lord has given me, along with the health to produce them, would be to give Him thanks, wouldn't you?

And as for sharing my wealth, such as it is, I do support a Program for Needy Families, how about you?

No I have nothing against religion as long as they don't force it upon you, and I give to charities of my choosing, and yes the unemployed do have more children for some reason?, more welfare I guess! :P ....BUT!, you have to admit, there are some greedy people out there that use excuses and twist politics to justify keeping large sums of money that they did not really work hard for to obtain, these are the people I'm getting at, the ones that don't practice what they preach.
