I only saw one fly once. VE day in downtown Winnipeg Manitoba. All traffic was stopped including the street cars and people were throwing paper out of upper office windows.

Suddenly there was a load roar overhead and this Mosquito bomber [ called F for Freddie ] made a low pass over the downtown crowd, made a turn and came back and flew sideways between the buildings.

She's a beauty --- a one in a million girl! That's for sure! Thanks for finding the video Stans!

Step right up and don't be shy,

because you will not believe your eyes.

She's right here behind the glass

and you're gonna like her,

'cause she's got class.

You can look inside another world.

You get to talk to a pretty girl.

She's everything you dream about...

but don't fall in love...

She's a beauty ---

one in a million girls,

she's a beauty.

Why would I lie?

Why would I lie?

You can say anything you like,

but you can't touch the merchandise.

She'll give you every pennies worth,

but it will cost you a dollar first.

You can step outside your little world.

You can talk to a pretty girl.

She's everything you dream about...

but don't fall in love...

She's a beauty ---

one in a million girls,

she's a beauty.

Why would I lie?

Why would I lie?

All the Allied planes won the war ... from the lowliest unarmed scout planes and photo-recon F5s, to the lumbering bombers and most lethal fighters.

Oh, and the army infantry, and the navy who hunted down all those wolf packs, and those ladies who listened to the radio traffic, and the men and women who went through Camp X in Canada, oh and the Polish guys who rebuilt the ENIGMA, and then of course, ol' Hitler who was a drug-addled megalomanic who wouldn't let his troops retreat from Stalingrad, and ...

Well, you get the idea :)

:icon_salute3: to them all!

Actually, Hitler was Germany's own worst enemy. His inability to make sound combat decisions lead to his defeat. So, in essence, Hitler was, in a round-a-bout way, our ally. If someone with real brains, like Erwin Rommel, had lead Germany through WW II, the outcome might have been very different.
