This weekend was nice, it was our Native American Autumnal Climatological Variation... that's pc for Indian Summer. Today is the observed veteran's day in the U.S., basically all federal, state and local government offices are closed, post office is closed, banks are closed and a few public schools are closed while the rest of us continue to work a normal day. We are still on track for a few scattered afternoon flurries, but the bigger story will be the abnormally cold air for this time of year. Highs will only range from 30-35 in most spots and with strong west winds today, look for wind chills to be into the teens for much of the day.
