Area fighting localized flooding due to heavy rain over the weekend, ground is still frozen so all the low lying areas are having issues with flooding. Ice jams on the Cedar River causing the same problem, with many homes with full basements. Many streets closed. Today will remain sunny and chilly across the area with a welcome break in-between storm systems. Ice jamming will continue to be a problem in some river basins, particularly the Cedar. Tomorrow morning, a warm front arrives from the west, and may generate a few light scattered snow or rain showers mainly in the morning. High temp of 33F today. I have a leaky basement and a basement at my 2 family that the water table rises and water comes out of the bulk head drain. I have to run a syphon hose and pump it out.
