Morning y'all, 75F and overcast, very humid, expecting mostly cloudy skies, a high of 87F and a good chance of showers and thunderstorms today. The forecast for Independence Day and the weekend looks to be normal, early July weather. Lows in the low to mid-70's, highs in the low 90's, and mostly clear skies.

Morning. 59F with clear skies. HIgh of 79F this afternoon. Generally pleasant weather is going to continue as we finish the holiday week. Through Friday, we stand the chance of a few isolated showers and storms, but those will mainly occur during the afternoons and early evenings. Most of us will avoid them completely, with an otherwise partly cloudy sky and highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Any rain will dissipate by sunset, leaving us with good weather for the fireworks displays.

Had to rush the youngest cat of ours, Bella to the animal ER last night, as her breathing became labored and fast. Our regular Vet was out of town for the evening of course. Seems Bella has fluid around the lungs, and they were going to take samples of the fluid and send them to the lab, along with blood work. Costs so far is $1500.

UPDATE: The Vet talked to Lottie last night after I went to bed and has been able to diagnose Bella with pleural effusion and the fluid around the lungs is full of bacteria, hence a bacterial infection. The key now is to keep her on oxygen and IV antibiotics and get a confirmation of the blood work and then consult with a specialist, tomorrow. We're told that this is curable but the long term prognosis is "fair to good."

Stans, you should have been a Vet.
