26F with fair skies and 19F wind chill. It would be nice if Sunday's warmer weather (high of 42 in Cedar Rapids) could last into the work week. Instead, Mother Nature plans to blast eastern Iowa with more arctic air. Monday starts out mostly cloudy with some light snow, mainly in the afternoon. Less than an in inch of accumulation is expected. Winds will increase with gusts up to 25 mph out of the northwest. This will bring much colder temperatures into the state with highs dropping into the upper 20s. Monday night will be dangerously cold with a low of -8F and wind chills near -30F.

This is typical Virginia weather. It's currently 35F, looking for sunshine and 58F today and down to 30F tonight. Yesterday, there was no snow in the forecast, but as of this morning, tomorrow brings a winter storm watch with a high temperature of 34F, chance of rain and snow mix late in the morning, changing to snow mid-day, 80% chance of snow all afternoon and evening, 40% chance of snow up to midnight and a low of 10F. Temperatures are not expected to reach freezing until Friday. I hate winter.
