Light snow and 18F with 6F windchill. We will see a trace to 2" of snow today. Blizzard Warning and Winter Storm Warning are in effect for Sunday afternoon through Monday afternoon. Winds will remain lighter tonight, but high winds are expected on Sunday creating blowing and drifting snow. Near blizzard conditions are expected Sunday and Monday with winds between 15 and 35 mph at times. Visibilities will be reduced in open areas and roads will become difficult to drive on. Dangerous cold moves in for Monday and Tuesday temperatures remain below zero. Because of the strong winds, wind chills will be in the -30’s and -40’s early in the week.

UPDATE:

Wind has started to pick up at 6:30am. Blowing at 28 mph now.

You are welcome to keep that winter mess up there in Iowa! It's sunny here, 25F this morning and, once again, the weather shaman claims it will be 40F today. I hope so, yesterday's "sunny and 40" turned into total overcast, snow flurries and 34F.
