Morning all. 7F under overcast skies with -10F wind chill. Received 5 inches of snow yesterday/last evening. For the most part snow has cleared the viewing area leaving a nice clean blanket behind as well as colder temperatures. We’ll see an afternoon high around 10 degrees with winds out of the north around 10-15 mph at times, making wind chills feel 15 to 20 below. Some blowing snow will occur as we head throughout the afternoon and rural roadways will most likely still be partially covered and slick. Lows tonight will become dangerously cold dropping to at least 15 below, potentially breaking record.

Morning y'all, 31F and snowing, snowing pretty hard too! This snow is a "wet" snow, everything is covered, vehicle collisions abound, many businesses closed, all schools, government facilities, courts, and even prisons are closed. Probably 7 inches of accumulation so far. Expecting the snow to end in another two hours, then temperatures will soar to 35F this afternoon. Unseasonably cold weather continues through the weekend, might see more snow tomorrow. Ugh!

The king is making an executive order as of this week. No more 5.56 mm ammo. Possibly .223 and .308 because they both can be used AR's. Stated reason: they can be used in semi auto handguns! This is a danger to police since the cartridges can pierce police armor! We're screwed! The king is also having the fcc control the net. ? I'm moving to Israel!

Yep, even Canada is starting to look like the land of freedom and liberty.

Now I'm confused! Shouldn't prisons be closed by default?...or are you saying that if it snows a bit, everyone gets sent home...even mass murderers?

It means no visitation hours and there is probably some change in staffing, maybe even a suspension of new prisoner intake/transfers.
