Morning y'all, clearing skies, 70F and 99% humidity after a night of thunderstorms. Fair amount of wind, lots of lightning and thunder and heavy rain last night. Today we are to expect partly cloudy skies, a high of 88F and a slight chance of afternoon scattered thunderstorms. Saturday is looking like it will be a washout, with rain and thunderstorms all day.

Morning all. 67F with 100% humidity under partly cloudy skies. Another cool day across eastern Iowa with scattered light rain showers. Amounts will likely stay under a quarter inch, but I think "annoying" will be a good word to describe these. The best chance will be this morning, though more will likely pop up as we hit our highs in the mid-70s this afternoon. Plan on a quiet night.

The early morning clear skies have given way to full overcast and it's only 0800. New forecast now calls for thunderstorms to arrive mid-day, chance for more thunderstorms and showers tonight and continuing through Saturday night.

Meanwhile, in you-know-where, it's BLOODY HOT! Yesterday it went to 98F with low humidity, but today it's 11am and 99F and slightly higher humidity. No wonder it's quiet around here. Everybody not working is indoors with the A/C on. There goes my Electric Bill!

Oh oh Whiz! Rutabaga is going to have a talk with you! That little freak is gonna climb from his rock and read you the riot act on Global Warming and how it's your fault! And running your Air Conditioner? Blasphemy! And you better not be using more than the quart of fresh water your hippie Governor has allotted you for the day!
