Stans Posted October 31, 2015 Author Report Share Posted October 31, 2015 As much as we like to think that the P-38 was a great air superiority fighter, there was one version of the P-38 that was superior to all the other versions. That version was the P-38K. Sadly, the U.S. government decided that even though it outclassed the other variants of the P-38, they did not want to risk shutting down the P-38 production lines to allow Lockheed to retool for producing this version.
