Donster Posted December 24, 2015 Report Share Posted December 24, 2015 Morning all. 31F under clear skies. Had Tornado Watch with a severe thunderstorm hit yesterday afternoon. Over an inch of rain and high winds. Hit 56F in the afternoon. Temps dropped 20+ degrees in a half an hour after the cold front rolled through. Had some area storm damage, trees and houses damaged. No injuries. Haven't determined if it was a tornado or straight line winds yet. However many of the trees are twisted and buildings are not just pushed over. Today starts with mixed sunshine and a chance for light rain/snow showers through the afternoon. This will be a very low-impact storm with less than 1/2" of accumulation. Highs today reach the mid to upper 30s. Winds remain light out of the southeast at 6-12 mph. Happy Birthday to me wife today. She turns....a....30 years old again today. I wish. The new forecast now calls for rain and thunderstorms today, scattered thunderstorms tonight and tomorrow. Expected high temperature today is a record busting 76F.
