Donster
Morning all. 24F under cloudy skies. Temperatures will be mild today with high temperatures above the freezing mark for the first time in over a week (34F). Temperatures tonight will be above average, but still cold and with the possibility of freezing drizzle.
Stans
Morning y'all, 16F and clear skies! Expecting a sunny day with a high of 36F, so maybe we'll see a little melting. The low tonight will be 16F again, so everything will freeze, but tomorrow it will be 43F, but mostly cloudy. We either get cold and sunny or warm-ish and cloudy, not exactly the best conditions to melt this mess. Speaking of mess, here is what 36 hours of almost non-stop snow/sleet-freezing rain/snow looks like. Everything is pretty much shut down, the department of transportation is asking for people to stay off of the roads. It is bad, last night I heard several county ambulances and even fire trucks call for a tow truck to get them out of the snow and the public bus service is shut down. At least the flag spotlight is working! Dug its own hole too.
Stans
Three hours of work and all I managed to do was turn the sidewalk into a very narrow bobsled run, 75% of the driveway into a lumpy skating rink, one car more or less drivable, so long as you don't mind climbing in through the passenger side. The weather shaman was wrong again, but this time I'm happy with the mistake. The forecast high of 36F has turned into 40F and may go higher. Here at Casa de Stans, it is actually up to 45F! Death to snow! Having some hot, homemade chicken noodle soup and a couple of AdvilTM , after this a shot of scotch and hot shower.
Stans
The drivable car is on the left, center is the lumpy ice skating rink and off to the right is the bobsled run. Oh, and I am happy to announce the ski slope (deck stairs) is now open with 12 inches of fresh snow.

Donster
You call that snow? Why when I was a kid the snow would have been over your little outbuilding there! And dad would have had us kids our shoveling the driveway out every other hour so we could keep up with it. "Gotta keep the driveway open so I can get to work" he'd say. 43F? That shit will be all melted away in a few days! We get that amount and it lasts for months. With more piled on top of it. Must say you do have a nice home and property Stans. Can I come out and live in the outbuilding?

Donster
No not criticizing the snow. I know you Johnny Rebs ain't used to that amount of snow.
Stans
Now, we definitely are not! I'd like to move south, but the misses will have none of that idea.
