Stans
Morning y'all, foggy, humid, 71F again this morning. Expecting another partly cloudy day, a high of 85F, and a chance of overnight thunderstorms. Wet tomorrow as hurricane Michael passes through the Carolinas. Looks like this is going to be a devastating hurricane for the Florida panhandle and dump a lot of water on the still flooded ground in the Carolinas. Donster
Morning all. 66F and rain. Received an inch of rain during the day yesterday. Had two tornado warnings here in town, but no tornadoes touched down. Many did around the area with little damage. Another inch of rain fell overnight. Today will be the last day of rain for awhile. No rain predicted until Sunday. Cedar River predicted to crest Sunday at 16.9 ft above flood stage. October weather starts today. Rain early. Windy. Temperatures falling to the upper 40s by 6pm. Winds out of the West at 15-30 MPH. High is 66F, won't get any warmer today. Farmers can't get into the fields to harvest. Lottie and I picked up and returned her sister and her husband last Wednesday and on Monday, farm fields flooded, or had water running through the drainage tiles in large amounts. All rivers crossed between Cedar Rapids and Des Moines close to going over their banks.
