When Kim and I got married, she had a storage unit in Seattle. The plan had been for me to take leave, go up there, get a truck, pick up her stuff and drive back here with her. Well the best laid plans and all, 9/11 changed that. My leave was canceled and she wound coming down here with two cats and small stuff that she could fit in the convertible. (Ask Donnie. He was kind enough to house her for an evening.) Well, that was all fine and dandy except all of her stuff was still in Seattle. When she moved to Atlanta, her company agreed to move her stuff down. Wasn't enough however to hire it done. So, the comprimise was getting ABF to spot a trailer there at the strage unit and me go and load it. Hence why I was absent the last week. Better to have 26 feet of stuff in a 28 foot truck than to have 26 feet of stuff and a 24 foot truck. Ask me how I have come to possess this wisdom. Stans Posted July 17, 2005 Author Report Share Posted July 17, 2005 Well, lemme tell you. When I moved my wife's stuff into my house, we rented a 26 foot truck, or so were told. Turns out, all the U-Haul place had was one 18 foot truck. Her 26 feet worth of stuff did not fit into that 18 foot truck, so two round trips were necessary.
