Morning y'all, overcast skies and 61F to start this Memorial Day.  Yesterday, the weather shaman went with a forecast of mostly cloudy and 79F.  What we got was total overcast, fog, and a high of 69F.  Today, the weather shaman says cloudy and cool this morning, slowly clearing skies for the afternoon and a high of 78F.

Today is Memorial Day in the U.S.  Although for most, it is just the holiday to mark the beginning of summer, but that is not the intended purpose of Memorial Day.  Memorial Day is the day in which we mourn the loss of those who died in military service for this nation.  Although flags have been at half-staff all weekend for the victims of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, this morning flags are at half-staff to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for this great nation.  At noon, flags will be returned to full-staff to honor the living who served and those who still serve.

Morning all and a Happy Memorial Day to my fellow Yanks. 65F under overcast skies with 97% humidity. Chance of showers and storms. Winds out of the S at 5-15 MPH. High of 82F.

That pond looks like Stump Pond down the hill from Mane Raptor's home Jay. Beautiful place! Great photos Jay!

I agree, but I see some big insects!

Not sure I want to visit Maine after reading some Stephen King books about what goes on there. :)

Those black flies were horrible! They would swarm you and try to carry you off after biting the hell out of you!
