Welcome to Combatsim!

"Memphis Belle", released in 1990.  Fiction in the sense that multiple real stories from multiple missions across multiple squadrons were stitched together into a single mission.  They did a really good job of turning B-17G's into B-17F's, which was the correct type flown in 1943.

"The Memphis Belle", released in 1944, non-fiction, actual combat footage documentary film.

"The Dam Busters", released in 1955, a mostly accurate film.

If you're not limited to just movies and will consider television shows, 12 O'Clock High was a decent show about a B-17 squadron in WWII.

And now a question for OP: Why are you interested in movies about WWII bomber aircraft? Looking for reference images/footage for a project perhaps? Just curious, don't feel you need to reply if you don't want to give details.

Thank you for the info @Stans and @The Dude . Much appreciated. I am obsessed with ww2 bombers and there seem to be very few movies about them. So I wanted to Binge watch the ones that exist

There's a new movie on Netflix called Shadow in the Cloud that's fun. Not your typical WW2 bomber flick, but if you like WW2 bombers, ball-turret guns, and a pretty girl, well, this movie will tick all those boxes. lol.
